One Minute Activist
Sevananda has been a long-standing educational resource in our community for almost 38 years. We also stand for preserving and protecting our basic quality of life issues such as air, water, food, earth, being treated fairly as a human and shelter.
We’re bringing back our One Minute Activist program for the activist in you. It’s an area in the store dedicated to activism. We receive lots of information on various organizations doing amazing work and often need support of some kind whether it be, signing a petition or volunteer hours.
The One Minute Activist post will have the latest petitions available for signing or contact info to get involved in some great cause. It’s located at the front of the store, to the left of the Be The Change board. Join Us!

We understand that Sevananda Member Owners and shoppers care about what’s in their food, where it comes from and what’s in it. As we expand our horizons and strengthen our values, food you can believe in becomes even more important to us. We thought it would be a great idea to create a Food Integrity Committee to further our commitment to bringing you quality food sources.
Our Food Integrity Committee is a staff member committee set up to monitor ingredient changes at the manufacturer level, keep abreast of changes in legislation with respect to food security and food safety issues, as well as provide a trusted resource to ongoing news and updates regarding our food supplies and food Sevananda carries. The committee will also work to provide special labeling of products to help take the guesswork out of your shopping experience. Labels like Fair Trade, GMO, Gluten Free, Dairy Free will become more and more prevalent as we become better at providing this service. You can also learn more about this topic on the Co-op 101 radio show which airs on our community radio station WRFG 89.3 FM every Monday from 4:30-5:00pm. Join us!
