If you’re looking for the best in whole and natural foods, vitamins and supplements, you’ve come to the right place. At Sevananda, we make it easy to find out all there is to know about the food you eat. What’s in it, and what isn’t. Where it’s from, how it’s grown, and who it’s grown by. That’s because we sell only the highest quality whole and natural foods — sourced locally and organically grown whenever possible — just as we have since 1974. And with product sourcing policies more demanding than any other stores, we fully guarantee the integrity and quality of what we sell. We call that food integrity. It’s what we live by, and what Sevananda has been all about from the beginning. Because it’s the only way we can promise you’re getting food you can trust. You can find out more about the food integrity difference at Sevananda from any of our store team members — every one of them’s more than happy to share what they know in the cause of good food. Welcome to a very different kind of market. Welcome to Sevananda!

We understand that Sevananda Member Owners and shoppers care about what’s in their food, where it comes from and what’s in it. As we expand our horizons and strengthen our values, food you can believe in becomes even more important to us. We thought it would be a great idea to create a Food Integrity Committee to further our commitment to bringing you quality food sources.
Our Food Integrity Committee is a staff Member committee set up to monitor ingredient changes at the manufacturer level, keep abreast of changes in legislation with respect to food security and food safety issues, as well as provide a trusted resource to ongoing news and updates regarding our food supplies and food Sevananda carries. The committee will also work to provide special labeling of products to help take the guesswork out of your shopping experience. Labels like Fair Trade, GMO, Gluten Free, Dairy Free will become more and more prevalent as we become better at providing this service. You can also learn more about this topic on the Co-op 101 radio show which airs on our community radio station WRFG 89.3 FM every Monday from 4:30-5:00pm. Join us!

Samiyyah Allah, a member of the Sevananda kitchen staff has been diagnosed with cancer. She had surgery on Thursday, May 3rd; and is at home recovering. Because of the extensive treatments, and mounting medical expenses associated with her recovery, Samiyyah is also facing financial challenges and needs our support. Sevananda has set-up a Special Contribution Fund through BOND Community Federal Credit Union so that interested individuals can make contributions to help defray the costs of her medical treatments going forward.
In addition to making a contribution at Bond Credit Union, if an individual has a PayPal account, they may contribute by sending a contribution via PayPal to S.AllahFund@gmail.com. We appreciate your support of our co-worker, friend, and family member at this critical time in her life.
